Delete your StoryCrush account
You can ask us to delete your StoryCrush account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to send a request, what data is deleted, what we are required to keep, and how long it takes.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to contact@storycrush.ai with the subject “Delete my StoryCrush account”.
- Send it from the email address linked to your account. If you signed in with Google, Apple or Facebook, use the email address of that account.
- In the message, tell us which sign-in method you use (email, Google, Apple or Facebook). This helps us find your account quickly.
- We may reply to confirm that the request comes from the account owner. Please answer this message, otherwise we will not be able to proceed.
- Once your account is deleted, we will send you a confirmation email.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Please cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings before you request deletion, so you are not charged again.
What data is deleted
- Your account and profile: name, email address and sign-in identifiers received from Google, Apple or Facebook.
- Your viewing history and in-app progress.
- Your premium access, virtual items and other in-app content linked to your account.
- Your correspondence with our support team, once your request has been completed.
Deletion is permanent. Your progress and purchases cannot be restored after the account is deleted, even if you sign in again with the same email address.
What data is kept, and why
- Purchase and transaction records (for example, transaction identifiers, dates and amounts) are kept for up to 6 years, as required by tax and accounting laws.
- Information needed to resolve a legal claim or dispute is kept until the claim or dispute is resolved.
We do not use the data we keep for any other purpose, and we delete it as soon as the retention period ends. Payment card details are never stored by us: they are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
How long it takes
- We confirm that we have received your request within 3 business days.
- Your account and data are deleted within 30 days after we confirm your request.
- Copies in our backups are removed automatically within a further 30 days.
Guest profile
If you used StoryCrush as a guest without signing in, your progress is linked to your device. To delete it, uninstall the app. If you would like us to delete any data linked to your guest profile on our servers, email us at contact@storycrush.ai.
